Impressive natural spectacle

The region offers many different experiences: learn about the history of the Rhine Falls in the Historama and on a tour through Schloss Laufen. Experience the impressive natural spectacle up close from various perspectives and be inspired.

Great views right on the water

Standing on one of the viewing platforms opens up new perspectives. Just beneath you, the roaring water thunders over the Rhine Falls cliffs, the spray foams and you hear the thundering and rumbling of Europe’s largest waterfall. The Belvedere viewing platform is conveniently reached along the panoramic trail (wheelchair and stroller accessible). The Känzeli and Fischnetz viewing platforms, however, are only accessible via steps. Our tip: take the panoramic lift to return to the visitor centre. The view from the lift is extraordinary.

Around Schloss Laufen

Evening light spectacle

The rock in the middle of the falls is the highlight of the Rhine Falls, which is illuminated every day after sunset (not during fullmoon and the following day). Let yourself bewitched by the magic of the Rhine Falls.

Historama

Schloss Laufen and the Rhine Falls share a long history. Visit the castle exhibition: awaiting you in eleven rooms – spread over two floors – is a fascinating journey in image and sound through the romantic and belle époque eras to the present. Tip: combine the Historama and other Rhine Falls attractions with a visit to our restaurant.
